Subtle and Stable Hips
Sept. 18, 6-8pm. - Yoga Center of Denver
Our hips are designed to be both stable and mobile. When one quality outweighs the other, the body often compensates—leading to stiffness, discomfort, imbalance, or instability that can affect everything from posture and balance to the pelvic floor and low back.
In this all-levels workshop, you’ll explore a balanced approach to hip opening that goes far beyond passive stretching
Whether you’re hoping to reduce tension, improve mobility, enhance stability, support healthy aging, or simply reconnect with your body, you’ll leave feeling grounded, supported, and free.
Join Angie Woyar for this thoughtful exploration of sustainable hip health and discover what it feels like to move from a place of both strength and spaciousness✨
Hands-On Assists: The Power of Presence
November 21+22, 2026 - SandHya yoga Studio
Join Devon Sweeney and Angie Woyar for a weekend immersion into the subtle and powerful art of hands-on assists. This training is designed to support yoga teachers in offering safe, attuned, and effective physical support rooted in the flow of prana. We will explore how to observe alignment, connect through clear intention, and offer touch that enhances embodiment without overriding the student’s agency. Through embodied practice, discussion, and partner work, you’ll refine your ability to read energetic and physical cues, respect boundaries, and move skillfully within the kinesphere. Whether you’re new to hands-on assisting or looking to reconnect to this vital part of the teacher’s craft, this training offers tools, language, and techniques to help you assist with clarity, care, and confidence. Open to yoga teachers and teachers-in-training. This module counts as an elective for Sandhyā Yoga’s 300-hour program and provides Yoga Alliance Continuing Education hours.
What Yoga Gives You
“It has taken me a long time to get to the point of realizing that this method of yoga is not just another type of yoga, it is a discipline that must be tended to everyday.
As my brain and body continue to experiment with the philosophy and the physical practices of yoga, I am learning that, when tended to, we can see a little glimpse of what we are capable of: more compassion, kindness, and love.”

Yoga teacher · Movement guide · End-of-life witnessI came to this work through my own body — its limitations, its resilience, its surprising grace under pressure. I believe the body is not a problem to be solved. It is a life being lived. I am here to honor that alongside you.
